Is very sorry but.....

the documentary evidence of the giant foot that was present in the world today was unfortunately wiped due to an illegal device removal.

[Lucinda is becoming increasing confused / fascinated by virtual storage space. With all the files she managed to unfortunately dispose of today, how much space is now left on her memory card and where hare the pictures gone? Where do their remanants now remain? Have they decomposed?]

Lines and Circles on the Wall

feels a bit like a strange form of architectural ECG.
Or that there are some wierd alien tadpod / sperms climbing up the wall.
but, could also just be abstract lines and shapes - Mondrian still rocks

Creamy Bit

This bit is more interesting. I like arks.

Back to Black and White

The Colour Red or just colour in general

I find colour great but also confrontational, but I really like this redy floor colour.
I wonder what it would be like to walk in this world surrounded by this colour.

Things before they got included but were unaware that they were part of it anyway

I just put some bits on here but think these bits are almost better or more interesting than the real bits or intended bits.

Played With

Still have image work relationship problems, but not overly worried about it. Feel a bit like a documentary maker who adds fake animal noises to his/footage to make it more interesting, but obviously not authentic.

Still can't figure out 'virtual dream'....

light

I like light. I have lots of folders on my computer titled, 'light' 'lights' but none titled 'lighter'?

Tomorrow

Tomorrow, I think I should make something that looks like art......

throwing money down the hole

Then Pia throw some money down the hole and I photographed it.

Then I made an art bank note with one art and drew an odd picture of a person on one side.

Pia took the money that was in the hole to the bank (another form of hole) and also handed in the art bank note. This was not accepted but also just returned to the payer in without comment.

Mind the Hole

When creating a floor based installation I generally put something near the entrance to activate the space and prepare the viewer for the transformation of the perceived scale of the hole.
In the studio space I decided to put something on the ground that aggressively engaged the viewer when they entered the space. So I made a big hole.

Then I found a ladder. This was great as now you could climb into the hole and scary things could get out of it and chase you.

INTERIOR DESIGN

"Never has such a premium been placed on the importance of cutting edge interior design in both home and working environments."

"The people in the Interior Design Visualisations below are in fact real people. But they are artificially placed in the rendered image. The room actually does not exist, other than inside the computer model of the room. The "people" are added to the Interior Design as 2D digital bitmaps. "

"The white Tilt II Lounge Chair by em (collaborative studio) appears as a new classic in this contemporary interior designed by em wi Design Group. Currently on exhibit at the Pasadena Museum of Contemporary Art, the Tilt Chair was also selected to be featured in the 'Design Secrets: Furniture" book produced by Rockport publishers, and will appear in a forthcoming museum exhibit titled "The 100 Years of the California Chair"."

"Here is the contemporary living room interior inspiration, the room designed in simple form, minimalist furniture style with low arrangements, modular sofas, unique lighting sources and more"

wire

more wire pictures

line and wire

Under the bench there was a great collection of wires. I drew this and put it back where I got it from. Sort of a sign post to show someone what I had seen and liked.

bird cage on a stick with fake flowers in it

This bird cage things is gross. But I found its presence fascinating. When I was exploring the floor I want to somehow add it to my map or disrupt is natural locating on the floor. So I put small squares of paper under it. But I noticed that this brought out the shadows it was casting on the floor and the wall. This photo is taken at another time of day when you can't see the shadow, but its trail is present. I liked how it was a logical system but without the shadow was less understandable.

The lamp

I was interested in the lamp as it looked like an alien. There was also a cool shadow, but these photos do not show the shadow.

the wall

This is a wall.

Studying the Studio

I felt a need to photograph and really get to know the space.
I like the light.

Measuring things on how close they are to the edge incase they might fall off

decided to start measuring things because i found a cool tape measure in the space.

Decided to focus on measuring how close things were to the edge, in case they fell off.

Firstly, I had to find objects that were movable
Secondly, I then had to find and edge for them to fall off.

laptop to edge of bench 6.9cm
blue mechanical pencil to edge of bench 6.9cms
cup (containing green tea) to edge of bench 23cms
upside down stool to edge of sofa 13 cms
Lisa's box to edge of sofa 12cms
Pia's bag with amazing but unnecessary padlock from Nepal to the hole 83 cms

residency continued

Ok, so I have now reverted to turning things upside down. Things now look much better.

Lisa's box is fascinating. Partly because its contents due to the avant-garde expat interior design refurbishment are now inaccessible. It now has the pillow tower carefully balanced in a Yin and Yang Feng Shui compliant manner. Everything will shortly be sanitised of any unmoral tendencies but any opulence with doubtful moral standing will be overlooked.

Anyone for cricket?

rediency thoughts continued

At home I had been continuing my diagrams and this systemisation of space was and is something that is still fascinating me. But also a world without people, void of them. But, also destroyed by them. That statement feels right but I can't make sense of it. How can a diagram a greyness be void of people but also contain within it their destruction or a destruction of something by people.

ok back to making

Residency at the Studio

ok, so first day was yesterday. I arrived feeling very uncreative. In the space were two female individuals who's attention was placed inside another spacial dimension, one the computer screen (the back lit world, someone else said this first), two, the internet within that screen, and three, the sound scape produced by putting headphones on. I was stuck in the actual space of the room, as my ipod had run out of battery.
Then searching inside my bag, my personal private only particially visible space found the things that I had previously remembered placing in there and some new ones which I had forgotten were there. Out of their hidding place I took out some paper and various drawing impliments. Then started to investigate the space. I had thought previously of thinking of the space as an science project tracking who and what is in it, or what could be here as the furniture in the room is at odds with its actual usage. This sort undercover investigation science project is the mind set that I entered the space with. I wanted to hide things in the space. Conceal things.
